Golden currant (Ribes aureum)
The golden currant is easy to grow, just give it plenty of sunshine.
If you can grow the black and red you'll have no trouble with the
golden currant. Much easier as it does not require such a rich soil, but pruning out some old branches now and then to encourage new growth is a good idea.
The flowers in April are prolific, bright yellow and also very tasty, but if you eat too many you will not get any of the glossy black currants come July/August.
These are a quite large, black, and can be used like any other.
